German cockroaches are the most common roaches found in NYC homes. They are small, light brown, and only live indoors.

German cockroaches are almost always found indoors, typically in kitchens and bathrooms where there is plenty of food and moisture.
They reproduce extremely fast—a single female and her offspring can produce over 300,000 roaches in one year.
